BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
Rhymed Theatre is an app with five stories that provide the users with an important lesson. The stories include lessons about laziness, an unhealthy diet or saving your money. When the story is chosen, each page can be read to the child or the child can read printed words of the story. Each page has animated pictures the move and makes sounds when touched. At the end of the story, a moral is given to help the child to apply the story principles.
This app was reviewed with elementary children with speech and language delays. They enjoyed listening to the story and touching the animations on each page. The teacher used the app for teaching the concepts of sequencing, answering WH questions, use of descriptive words and spatial concepts. This app is recommended for elementary children who are able to follow a story that is 8-10 pages in length.
